Salomon Falcon CS Pro ski boots are a new innovation for the 2008-9 season that keeps Salomon at the forefront of ski boot evolution. They have the rigidity and foot hold of a true race ski boot but with the new custom fit technology to improve comfort without compromise on hold.

The outer shell is the key to this boot and is of standard construction PU ether but for the two custom inserts that control the lateral hold on the front part of the foot. These custom shell inserts when heated will mould themselves to the pressure from the foot and cool to provide a natural fit for the front part of the foot.

The advantage of the customization is that the front part of the foot with all its bones can get cramped when the boot is tightened to produce a firm hold. By customizing the width of this part of the foot in relation to the whole you can alleviate any pressure points and cramping that will compromise comfort without allowing the boot to be sloppy in any way.

In order to customize these boots the outer shell is heated to soften the custom panels. The inner liner is then added and the foot placed inside the boot until cool. Once the boot cools down the custom inserts take on the shape of the foot therefore giving just enough lateral pressure on the foot. Comfort and performance in one boot that is customizable in no time at all.

Custom shell technology is available in Falcon Pro CS and Falcon CS for men and the Instinct CS for women.
